Deal with Belly Padilla

Bela Padilla gained the nickname Belly Padilla as netizens jokingly pointed out her tummy on her recent Instagram post.




Padilla recently posted a photo sitting down on the beach that shows her belly.

Although the comments were not entirely negative, Padilla still shuts body shamers through her recent tweet. The actress said she was surprised by the number of comments about her belly and admitted that she does have it.  

She also wrote that it contains layer of muscles she worked hard for in the gym and from that layer of fat from the food she ate. 



The Meet Me in St. Gallen star also responded tp some comments on her Instagram post that her tummy was just like everyone else’s plus the fact that she was seated.


Many netizens gave their support to the Meet Me in St. Gallen star’s tweet, commenting that what she did was ‘brilliant’. Even her comedian friend, Mikey Bustos, showed his support by replying on her tweet,“Bella, you’re beautiful. People are stupid. Miss you.”

Also, the lawyer-blogger, Joei Gana-Teves stated how the much of a body shaming the comments were for the other countries but seemed to be a norm here in the Philippines.

Her followers have defended her saying that Bela is still beautiful with her belly. Netizen @chandria_padills even called the bashers ‘shallow’ for laughing at her tummy.


The 26-year-old actress said wrote about the photo editing issue asking the netizens, “Would it have made you more comfortable if I edited my photo to perfection? Because I could have easily done that.”

According to Padilla, she will never do that with the idea of people are only likable when they looked perfect in photos.


Netizens showed their agreement and admiration on Bela Padilla’s opinion through twitter and instagram for embracing her body.
